The antisemitism and sexism of Poirot in this book really spoilt it for me. I've never noticed it in the other Agatha Christie books I've read. Maybe I haven't read enough yet. The story itself is okay but I found the structure not as enjoyable as I normally do. At one point I found myself saying "here we go, the standard review of all the characters at the three quarter point". I had to force myself to finish it.
The bit with Frederica's husband seemed ridiculous. I put it in the charity shop bag which I hardly ever do with Agatha Christie.

Hastings and poirot are so funny in this and the characters were so lovable. I really enjoyed the setting and plot twist.

First Agatha Christie book I've read. It was fun and fast paced. Peroit is a funny guy, with a lot of quips and one liners.
<Spoiler> I didn't understand the end with Mrs Rice's husband, who shot him? Or why did he die? But, luckily it's side plot so not important. So, some good plot twists overall and a fun read.

I absolutely love this! It's such a complicated and confusing mystery to solve that even I felt Poirot's frustration while trying to solve the case. Towards the end, I was just shocked, impressed, and satisfied with the revelation. One of the cleverest antagonist of Agatha Christie that really challenged the famous detective (and I supposed most the readers as well). I also had fun with Poirot and Hastings' interaction—hilarious, I say! They're my favorite duo in Christie's works.
