First book i read from Agatha Christie. Still one of my favorites.

I really enjoyed the story and the line of thinking of Poirot.

Was amazed at the end. Wonderful. Made me read more works of the author.

I really enjoyed this one.

It was a solid cosy mystery, beautifully written, and featured great detective work from Hercule Poirot. Christie's writing has a certain charm to it that brings readers so much closer to the story. I love reading from a detective's point of view– despite it becoming quite easy to get distracted by the red herrings and twists. I love the bit at the end where Poirot is in a locked room with all of the possible suspects, and piecing together the mystery– it's where the climax of the story happens and the ultimate revelation moment of finding out whether we (the readers) had guessed who the killer was correctly.

Usually I'm not a fan of characters explaining how the crime was committed or how all the clues fit together, but in this case, I did not mind it because up until that point, my head was still reeling from trying to make sense of everything. The big reveal was also quite smartly done.

I cannot wait to read more of Agatha Christie's novels.

Terrific fun read!

I know, I know, odd to say for a murder mystery. But somehow Christie manages it with the aid of her endearing and incorrigible lead detective, Hercule Poroit. Sit down with a reading lamp and a cup of tea, which will surely become cold by page 20 and remain nonchalantly untouched till you have put this down.

This is one of the more entertaining books about H. Poirot (I’m a miss Marple fan:-)) The plot keeps twisting and twisting and you would not believe anyone would ever find out the truth. But luckily our Belgian friend is there, and very pleased with himself, explains the whole thing. Entertaining.

A little confusing at times and not my favorite Agatha Christie book. Still, one shall find mystery and intrigue in this Poirot classic.
