This was banging not as GREAT as the one before but very good... love Tor...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I LOVE this series. While this story was not as convincing a the first or second one, I did enjoy it more than the second one while I was reading it. That being said, the second book sticks out more clearly in my head even though I just got finished with this one. The couple was more to my liking but individually I did not like them as mucha s the previous ones. I am totally stoked about the ending though. I really want to know what the hell is going on.

3.5. This one wasn't my favorite. I still enjoyed the read.

Cora Goode wakes up to find herself in a different bed, place and time. Believing she is in a dream she unknowingly starts a curse while betraying another. When Noctorno protects her she doesn't realize he is her husband in this land and the fact that he hates her is more then apparent. Cora tries to go the honesty route and tells him who she is and where she is from. After a few rough days she finds herself falling for Noctorno, but is Noctorno just playing her to get an heir?

There is so much more to this delightful story that I am not going to delve into. I loved this one, I was easily swept away and thought Cora was a hoot. It was fascinating watching Noctorno soften towards Cora. Terrific story.

Meeting Cora was a breath of fresh air. She was hysterical from the start, and I loved her growth throughout the book. Because of who her twin was and how awful she was, Cora truly landed right in the fire from the start. But she handled every hurdle with strength from herself.

While I truly wanted to fight Tor at the cake scene and his insistence that Cora was playing him, knowing the other Cora and the damage she wrecked on him, it’s understandable to see his point of view. But I still wanted to slap him silly sometimes.

I actually loved their relationship and the banter they share. It makes for some lighthearted moments in a dramatic book. And it didn’t feel like the power balance was completely uneven. Cora was able to be herself and hold her own in their arguments.

Aside from the couple, I liked how the book ended and set the stage for the rest of the series. I am a sucker for fantasy books filled with action.

2/5 on the spicy scale. I don’t feel like the scenes are that spicy, they’re enjoyable though. But I think I was reading more for the plot than the spice.

By far the best one!!!

Love Cora/Tor’s book!

i like noc....lol can we have another alternate universe where noc and cora ends up together?? sigh

Excuse the pun, but this was definitely a good read! I loved Cora and Noc together! Even better, I loved her parents and best friend. No matter how unbelievable the things she told them was, they took it in stride and had her back. The next two books are going to be EPIC.
