SO. MUCH. FLUFF.
Also, my heroines finally converge! With babies and husbands in tow! YASSSSSSS.

Now, will someone please give Apollo his own book?

I'm so fascinated by this parallel world concept and I think the author did a great job with the world building on the fantasy world. While it seems to be set at time much older than current times, she makes it sound so good, that I think I would be willing to give up modern conveniences to live there.

Although, I'm not sure I could have handled things better than the Cora (from our world) did in this case. To suddenly be dropped into the life of someone who looks just like you but everyone hates, would be jarring. I did find it fun to see her try to convince Tor (the hero) that she wasn't the Cora he thought she was.

The first three books are mostly standalone and in different parts of the fantasy world so these characters haven't collided until now. That means there is a lot more to come because it seems there is an overall plot to the series that will need to be handled...and I'm looking forward to it.

Ugh! I'm so disappointed. This book started out so great. Really, I thought it was going to be the best in the series. Cora was great; Tor was great; loved the plot. Seriously in love, couldn't put the book down.

Then the betrayal! Perfect! Tor was such a supreme jerk, and Cora absolutely deserved to be hurt and upset. I couldn't wait to see how they would pull through and work things out! This first half of the book was 5 star.

Then, bah! She hits her head, they end up back in Cora's world, and (as in all of the other books in this series) Cora just gets over her upset without the hero actually apologizing or anything simply because they're in a situation where she has to.

The part with them in Cora's world? Boooring! I didn't care about evil Cora in the first half of the book, why would I care about what she was doing during that time? And the number of times they go shopping! Jeez! We seriously gave up talking animals and traveling around a magical world for this?

Seriously, the book would have been so much better if they had stayed in Tor's world, actually worked through their problems, and engaged with the witch in the magical land.

Oh well. The first half was great anyway.
