I liked this one, but the 2nd one Golden Dynasty was so much better. I was starting to get really annoyed with the styler of writing, like when the author is describing someone as gorgeous and they say g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s but they do it multiple times throughout the book. Or some is hot like “hawt”. Or say Yowza and Yippee several times. I don’t know, it just got annoying.

Leaving the original 4 Stars but this, like The Golden Dynasty before it, did not live up to the first reading 8 yrs ago. Which I guess is par for the course...

I couldn't tell you why I continued on in this series, as I hated book 2 more than I could ever express, but I'm glad that I did.

Cora's story was cute and wonderful, and I loved the romance of it. Tor is also the first mmc in this series that I've actually liked and enjoyed having around, so there's something to be said about that as well.

This is also the first book that we've really spent time in this side of the parallel universe and when it happened, I wasn't all that excited for it, and I like my fantasy books to be in fantasy worlds, but it really worked.

It was fun watching Tor be dropped into this world and meeting her family and her friend. Tor meeting Tor was the epitome of amazing, I laughed so hard.

This one was fun, and I'm glad I made it here, but I'm not planning on holding out hope for the rest of the series carrying forward like this book did.

This book is most definitely my favorite of the series so far. Tor is going into my top BBF's of 2018. Yes, I know he was written earlier than the current year but that is when I read him.

I'm typical fashion, this author continues to weave this amazing world in such a way that it astonished me. I can only imagine this is what people felt like when they saw Technicolor the very first time.

This story had a more fairytale feel to it than the others. I kept getting little images of Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty in how certain things were described. I loved Cora in this book. She was a fictional People's Princess. I really liked the concept of sharing a soul and the curse.

I really appreciate the author tying in the other characters and bringing them all together. It raised a lot of questions that I hope will be answered in the next book.

Hands down one of the best I have read this year and this entire series is going into the all-time favorites vault.

After the more somber tone of GD, it was refreshing to see a lighter tone in this installment. I adored Cora!

Like the other two books, these are more like 3.5 stars for me. I really do enjoy Kristen Ashley's writing. It flows nicely, and is easy to read. I really love the world she has created, and her descriptions are always nice. However, I wish there was more depth to the plots going on, but she did leave this one hinting as there may be and that everything has been a staging ground.

That being said, if it is true, it must be said that the stage is lovely. Despite the lack of depth in ways, I do enjoy the stories as a guilty pleasure. The characters feel a bit redundantly the same in each one, but I still enjoy them. If you enjoy light reading that's heavy on the romance, then these are definitely great ones to consider.
