An interesting take on classism and privilege, especially the way it lures people in against their better judgement. I really liked that about the main character, even if it did annoy me from time to time.
Personally, I wanted the book to be even darker, lean just a bit more into the extreme (which, sadly, it didn't, but that was fine in the end). The second to the last twist surprised me, the very last one not as much, but I didn't really mind. I think I would read the second book.

very fun and creepy read. really had everything it promised. only annoyment was the ending/epilog. honestly, you'd be better just skipping it. our main character is an idiot sometimes, as all main characters are, but the vibe that this book gives is absolutely delicious.
