cameron post is a story of grief, uncertainty, and unthinkable resilience. it moved me, caused me to meditate on my own past, my own queer coming-of-age with all its traumatic events and found family, and that's why i know it will stay with me for a long time.

At the same time, it's a very specific kind of book and I've left with so many questions about the other parts of the story which were not here told. Many parts were difficult to read, not because of graphicness, because of the bleakness of the delivery. I have so many hopes for these characters beyond the last page, but this book really is a bit complicated in it's optimism. Probably best to read when you're not tending towards a downer mood.
Further: I demand a spin-off about private boarding school lesbians. This will become clear if you read the book (and you should).
Graphic: Forced institutionalization and Homophobia
Moderate: Drug use and Self harm
