This one isn't as good as the first and it painfully takes you away from the story you want to be reading about. But stick with it! The next book will bring you back in!!

I didn't love this as much as the first. There was a point in the middle that I was dying for it to finish already!! But I'm very glad I got through it because it was good, and now I'm ready to watch the second season of the TV series to see any differences.

I love the characters and the plot and the dialogue but the middle of this book had me dozing a bit. Maybe it's due to the fact that I've seen the show and therefor know what will happen? Or maybe because the politics wen't over my head a bit at times. Still a great book but not nearly as enthralling as Outlander.

The last 200 pages were amazing. Definitely some slower parts in the middle, but great continuation of this story!

Claire and Jamie could rule the world together❤️ Love that they can face the worst possible situations and STILL come back from them, open up to each other, and grow closer. Enjoyed getting to see the time travel a bit more. Curious how that will play a part in the next several books.
