I really enjoy Wm Kent Krueger’s writing. It’s so good and readable.

It was too thin. It needed more.

Interesting concept, and I do like novellas. It's fun to see writers work a full story into a shorter work. I didn't think the characters got the same depth and heart as my favorite novels by this author, Ordinary Grace and This Tender Land. Definitely worth the read, as I loved the drama of the flood water rising while our characters squabble.

I normally love Wm. Kent Krueger's books. But this one left me unimpressed. Maybe it was the narrator.

This is an Audio Exclusive, which is the worst way for  me  to take in a story – especially as I couldn’t go back and read any of it. I enjoy Kreuger’s writing and it was there in this story, but I just don’t enjoy *just* hearing a book and find the experience disappointing.
