Gordo and Mark are perfection. I resonate with Gordo so much, he is just an angry man filled with love and insecurities. Again, *insert one million crying photos*

The second book in the Green Creek series breaths some fresh air into the books. I found myself enjoying Gordo's POV more than Ox's(while I did like Ox's, sometimes his takes felt less complex). Klune continues the Green Creek story brilliantly and builds on his characters better than ever before. I genuinely found myself glued to the page at every turn. However, I found myself distracted at points. During serious moments of the book, Team Human would chime in with some comedic poking at the story. It felt like Mystery Science Theater, which during tense, emotional moments, undercuts the tugging at the heartstrings.
