Fun, flirty and laugh out loud. A charming rom com in glitzy New York with an equally charming heroine at the helm. Perfect escapism ✨

’He glanced back and saw Georgiana waving at him happily, much as she had with the cab driver. Andrew lifted his hand, just briefly, in acknowledgment. Damn. She really was the most ridiculous creature. He carefully hid his smile until he was back outside.’

Not sure why the author titled this. It had some comical moments. Felt maybe the book could’ve been longer. Wasn’t quite sure what the main female character’s job was supposed to be but it sorta mentioned something.

I really liked this; I love the heroine - she’s bubbly and warm and doesn’t put up with shit. The banter between the main couple is fantastic. They have really good chemistry and it’s a slow burn. There’s no cliche eye thing and I feel like the amount of checking out is normal and realistic. The insta-marriage at the end threw me off.

Her father and mother are both decent characters - I like how she doesn’t villainize either one. “Pivotal” is a great way to realize you love somebody and you’re touching them. I want a maple bacon donut now. There are legit “real life” moments in here that don’t seem contrived or cliche. The worldbuilding of a socialite life is excellent. I like that the main character doesn’t apologize for who she is or what she likes. Marley is fantastic; I love their friendship and that the main female characters don't seem to hate all women like a lot of romantic chick lit tends towards.
