I love picture books with minimal text. They are perfect for storytime and one-on-one reading because they open up kids' imaginations in fantastic ways. The artwork in this book is breathtaking and the message is strong and simple, but I'm not sure that it would translate for little ones. This may be one of those picture books that is much more treasured by us grown-ups.

I want to hug this book. The illustrations remind me a bit of Thiebaud's yummy art and the message that it's the little things in life that make the difference is lovely. Gorgeous in its simplicity.

I would like this better if it were wordless.

I somewhat agree with the people who wish this was a wordless book. I do think it would work best for kids as wordless, but the words are great for the adult readers. Great illustrations!

The illustrations told a cute simple story. The words (I think because of translation issues) undermined it.
