An enjoyable enough read. It has an intriguing concept but the delivery is uneven. There almost feels like two different stories here with the “contagion” and the politics of the world Ms Bowman is working to create. The two get a little muddled at times and the politics are hard to follow as we don’t really know the players.

I’ll likely read the second at some point but it’s not a rush out to finish type series for me.

I wasn't totally hooked but I think for YA this is a league above what I've read lately. Also I love a good primarily female main cast in a sci Fi book.

I did not see the plot twist coming. This book was stressful and freaky and some of the intense scenes were confusing things happened very fast but lots of action!
