I enjoyed this book a lot, which is normal for me and the Gabriel Allon series. I think that I may be getting tired of the series, though. It's somewhat of a similar formula for each one, where everything goes along well, then something goes wrong, Gabriel gets beat up or almost dies, but you always know he won't because there's more to the series.

Still, I enjoy the humor and excitement, so I'll keep reading them.

A bit formulaic, but I really like the characters in this series.

Another great Silva book, as Allon is drawn back into the Israeli spy gambit investigating suspected Russian journalist murders by a Russian arms dealer, as well as trying to prevent future terrorist attacks as a result of these arms deals. Silva always seems to know how to build the suspense in a book, as the last 1/2 of this book is a fast, exciting read.

Great thriller. I just hope one day I can get my hands on the other Gabriel Allon books.

Daniel Silva following the typical Gabriel Allon formula with a couple added twists and not too much on the "Israel vs. Muslims" bit that he draws from often. One of the better ones in the series but if you're looking for something substantially different from previous Allon novels, keep looking.

Silva's books just get better and better. I was completely and utterly sucked into the story and couldn't put it down. What a great great book!

Hardly nutritive, Moscow Rules was chosen to be read because of its title. Daniel Silva shines most when there is no super villain at hand. That was the factor that decided whether I'd be bored enough to ditch the book or complete it.

Having done the latter, the thriller delivered its promise by being a low brow one. I'm tempted to pick out a second book in this series, because I don't mind much being dosed with schlocky literature. I prefer shlock to literary books, you see.

Finally I've composed a haiku during reading, and without delay, here it is...

Gabriel Allon,
And I cannot get along,
Wintry waste of time.

Had not read a Silva in a few years. Really enjoyed this one. Will hit some of the others!
