Michelle Obama is an American treasure. Currently trying not to cry at my desk as I just finished reading. A remarkable look at life and politics and America through the eyes of a gracious and tenacious woman.
This book was a roller coaster because as I read it, I was so impressed. And then I remembered the attitudes currently in the White House, and I mourned. But there is always hope, and strength, and work to be done.

Loved this book. I loved everything about it. I especially loved the becoming us part, when she first met her husband, her view of him, and her overall feeling for him. I had a smile on my face reading that part. I also loved how Mrs. Obama described her struggles and how she too can be insecure, especially with all the adversity she had to deal with from being African American and strong. Great read into the Obamas' lives and all that being the First Family entails.

Listened to as an audiobook…learned a lot about Michelle and loved hearing about her perspective on Obama’s presidency. I also loved hearing about how she grew up and how she met Barack. Overall, I was pleased to have listened to it. I wish it focused a bit more on life during the presidency, but I understand the book is called “Becoming” and how Michelle became herself, so it was important to talk a lot about her past before Obama.
