I feverishly finished this book in bed, my pillow a puddle of tears. The horrors of a school shooting were neither overshadowed nor underrated by the heart wrenching window into PTSD caused by extreme bullying. There were no winners in this book and yet I fell I’m a better person having read it.

While this book deals with very heavy and controversial topics, it was a really thought provoking read that lasts with you long after you have read it.

I'm glad I didn't read this when it first came out. I don't think I could have handled it. I was way to fragile in my parenting.
Very very well written - in fact it reminds me of why I ever wanted to write books in the first place. It's both suspenseful and philosophical and a comment on (reduction of?) society. All while being so relatable and based in a real environment everyone can recognize.
The writing can be serious and very "literature-like" yet is so much more accessible and non-pretentious than what is labelled by academics as "literature",
