This is a saga. A story told over time from oral stories and written later. It's an Icelandic/Nordic/Viking Story which means that there is a lot of head, leg, arm cutting off in various fights. All these fights except the last are two v eight or four v 16. Much different than Hollywood version of massive large viking armies. Actually until the end and the final Althing when larger forces are available, but mostly not used or used just to funnel the the opposing forces into pockets where contained and peace was established. Near the end is a lot of Icelandic Law that while interesting is a lot of repetition. All in all this is a fun fast read that will keep your blood going.
