writing sucks, trying too hard to be edgy. reads like 2014 tumblr
The characters were pretty insufferable to me and nobody had any good convictions.
This is the second time I've tried (and failed) to read this book and I think this time I worked out what the problem is - it's not Olivie Blake's writing (which I sometimes struggle to read because she uses too many ~fancy~ words at the expense of actual comprehension for the reader), but that there's no driving momentum for this book. Or, at least, within the first 100 or so pages that I read, I was never compelled to keep reading on by the characters or the plot or the narration.
