adventurous dark mysterious medium-paced

6 people with different talents are selected to join this secret society that protects the library of Alexandra or at least it's knowledge. 2 medians, a naturalist, an Empath, and Illusionist and a telepath walk in... only 5 walk out. Dun dun duuuun.

That's as far as I got honestly. Even though the concept was interesting, I have zero clue what I listened to. I think this is a book you need to read with your eyeballs.. even though I DNFd the Ebook, thinking that the audio would be better. It was and it wasn't.
Loved that there was a full cast, but didn't like Tristan's, he talked to fast at times where I sometimes couldn't decern what he said. Even slowing down the audio more didn't really help much. Callum's was somehow worse.. sometimes he would whisper and no matter how high I had the volume, didn't get what he said.
I think one day, I will try and reread it with my eyeballs.
Also, out of everyone.. I think I disliked Parisa and Callum the most as characters.. but actually vibed better with Nico and Reina.

Dark academia where 6 people with magical abilities get invited to become part of the Alexandrian Society. Only 5 will make into the next year.

This was a wild ride of a book!

Were there times when I had no idea what they were all talking about? Absolutely in the best possible way.

Time travel, black holes and playing with peoples minds and emotions are only some of the things we delve into in this book.

All the characters were intriguing and flawed in their own ways. Nico, Tristan and Libby were stand out characters to me.

I’m looking forward to the next instalment and seeing where this series will go in the future.

DID NOT FINISH

DNF @ 41%

I feel like I could like this if things were actually happening.

I can read a book with unlikable characters and pretentious writing as long as interesting things are happening plot-wise. But nothing is happening and it's a bit of a slog for me.

DNF
J'y arrive pas. Vraiment. Ils sont tous INSUPPORTABLES !
Et puis je n'accroche pas à l'écriture (ya aucune description ! j'aime les descriptions moi

I cannot stress enough what a waste of a concept this book was. It quickly turned into a hate read, and the last two chapters only made me more furious when I realized the author spun an entire 16 hour audio book out of two cool ideas....and left one of them for book #2.
