This was interesting but for now at least I cannot get past the fact that there is a character named Atlas and he shrugs repeatedly.

The plot was getting a little too slow for me without any foreseeable payoff coming in the book

This book fascinates me.

Not only did I really enjoy the writing style and each of the characters, but the way it was published is just so cool. Being famous on TikTok as a self-published book I didn't originally want to pick it up, but then when it got picked up by Tor I felt like I should read it.

Like did they make changes at Tor? How did the marketing differ? What was the whole process like? I have so many questions.

Publishing is such a fascinating industry, and I can only imagine how TikTok continues to change not only publishing, but literally every industry out there.

lol I think my communications & media major is showing

Super strong premise, lost my interest a bit as it dragged on!

It's just too much, too soon. So many characters with so much information in a different world with different magic system.

I didn’t actually hate this book like the other reviews said. I thought it was really interesting. I like it. I think the end really wrapped up well. Im not really sure where the hate comes from. I thought it was unique that I didnt really love any characters until the end, I liked Ezra. Im excited tor the second book.
