I will forever love The Atlas Six for introducing me to dark academia.

my most controversial take yet. for a character driven book, this sure lacked any sort of foundational character development. the multiple pov's were nice but they just aren't my thing — or maybe i expected actual insight on the characters when they got their pov's but maybe i was just asking for too much.

so... so boring. why was this so boring????? the "academic rivals to lovers" does not exist because nico is in love with his roommate AND NONE OF YOU TOLD ME ABOUT IT?????

the magic system is cool but vague, i still dont know how or why they are the way they are. the characters are not likable at all. the book shouldve started with libby's kidnapping and should've continued on in a non linear sense. maybe then something would've actually HAPPENED in this book.

2/5, will not (and did not) read the sequel. olivie blake is just not for me i suppose. my dark academia dreams were SHATTERED
