consumed by her desire for revenge and her obsession to 'defeat' kasta, zahru unknowingly became the villain herself.

now THIS is how you write a slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers, corruption arc. šŸ¤Œ

oh gods what am i gonna do now
i found out that this is totally Anna-Elsa type of power - one is actually powerful with spells and shit and the other one is emotionally powerful and ready to "save" the first one
and it doesn't matter the powers are switched now
i don't really know if i like it
i guess i do
sending love to Kasta and Jade - my beloved ones

Not sure if I should give this one five stars, so I think Iā€™ll give it 4.5?! Oh Zahruā€¦. In this book, she drove me crazy, and not in a good way. I understand her trepidation, but she was going insane from the way she was obsessing over Kasta. But I guess I would too if someone had murdered me, or at least attempted to. Itā€™s so easy to forget how young these characters are, and how human they are. But I loved it. Even the manic obsession that was driving me crazy. Once I reread the first book, I flew through this one in 2 days. So freaking good! If the last one is everything I hope, I think Iā€™ll bump this one up to 5 stars. Off to read the next oneā€¦ wish me luck!

Wow. This book was honestly a perfect fantasy to me. The constant tension, suspense, twists. I am in love.

This plays with the line between hero and villain in a beautiful way. I loved all the angst and unstable alliances. I kept thinking about what might happen next. The romance is slow moving, subtle and tense. I feel like the sequel will be even more of a Rollercoaster ride and I can't wait.
