I know this is a really small book but I had some time after finishing it to think about the things that I loved and so I'm gonna write them here. First I wanna say that I really loved the book but I can't give it more than three stars because it's only small stories.
We start the book with a letter from Rick, I love when he talk directly to us, it makes me feel so good haha. Well the first short story is about Luke, Thalia and Annabeth and OMG it was amazing. I've always wondered how they had met and stuff. Imagining them so little and can we talk about our Annabeth being a kick ass 7-year-old, it was just awsome. It also reminded me of the pain that Luke's betrayal caused me, yeah, dark times. Witnessing Luke's bitterness toward the gods at a really early stage and knowing that he'd always had some anger and resent inside him. The future this Apolo kid, whose name I don't remember, saw about Luke betraying his friends and about Thalia sacrificing herself, oh and when he talked about Thalia's family he was talking about Jason (that was smart Riordan). And please, little Annabeth, she was just this smart, sweet, kick-ass child, I just love her even more.
The second story consist of Percy and Annabeth and it's a sweet romantic afternoon with some fighting gigants in the mix and PERCABETH ANNIVERSARY can I just? sbdialsoduas It was the sweetest thing when Percy talked about Annabeth and being a boyfriend I was just BE MY BOYFRIEND PLEASE. Oh and sassy Percy, can we just talk about him? Oh amazing. And Paris? This is like the most perfect mini story ever. I love how Riordan mixes things from the series, for example the references to Gaea and thigs that happen later in HoO.
Then we have Leo, Piper ans Jason action. Not my favorite but I love these three. Leo is like the best idk I just love him.
AND for the finale, Rick Riordan's son story. It was just that kind of things that you go into with 0 expectation but it was actually really good. You can see a kinda different style of wrtiting but at the same time it complements the story really well, so good jojb Haley Riordan.
Overall and if you are a Percy Jackson fan, you HAVE to read this, because you are going to have so much fun! Highly recommended.

3.5, rounding up to four. A set of short stories kinda between the PJO and HOO series:
* Diary of Luke - a bittersweet story, but awww tiny Annabeth at the end
* Staff of Hermes - a cute little Percabeth adventure fic
* Quest for Buford - aChristmas story! The Maenads got mentioned at some point in HOO so it makes sense that they were from a side story.
* Son of Magic - written by Haley Riordan, it's tonally darker than the others but does address what happened to the demigods on the other side of the PJO conflict.

Oh my gods, I love this book!
We get three new stories by Rick Riordan and the debut short by his son Hayley.
This book was amazing from start to finish.
We start out with The Diary Of Luke Castellan, which is great. It is a prequel to Percy Jackson and follows the adventures of Luke, son of Hermes. We see how Luke became the way that he is and what happened to him. The way that he reacts with other characters is beautifully written and gives you a real insight into the character of Luke. I loved all of the characters and the story was so original and great!
Then, we got the Staff of Hermes, which follows Annabeth and Percy on their one month anniversary. It is set a month after the Last Olympian. There are loads of cute percabeth moments and again, it was a great plot. The story was well written and here were loads of bits of foreshadowing for the Heroes Of Olympus series.
The final instalment from Rick Riordan is Leo Valdez and the Quest for Beuford, which shows how Leo has lost his table Beuford and needs help from his friends Piper and Jason to find it. This one is set between The Lost Hero and The Mark of Athena. This was my least favourite of the three stories, but I still really enjoyed it. It was a fun read and a lot more lighthearted than so,e of the others.
The final story in this boom is The Son Of Magic by Hayley Riordan, which follows a son of Hecate about 8 months after the Battle Of Olympus (Last Olympian). I went into this book not expecting much at all because Hayley is an unknown author and this is his first work, however, I was pleasantly surprised! Hayley, you’re amazing! This book was actually brilliant! Hayley has a brilliant writing style and is very great at world building and developing characters. The characters were all brilliant, and quite frankly, I want to know more about them! Hayley is clearly a talented writer and I can’t wait to see more from him!
Overall, this book is great. I would recommend to anyone who loves Percy Jackson because it is an amazing addition! 10/10
