first dostoevsky book i've ever read!

i really loved the dynamic between varvara and makar. if i am vavara, then makar is the PERFECT mix between both my grandfathers. i've read others' reviews about their relationship seeming satire, seeming unrealistic, but i fully disagree. being alone, doting on the sole relative you know.. you just end up depending on them.

varvara and pokrovsky mean the world to me.

the way dostoevsky writes his own experiences into his books.. the book i borrowed came with a little biography and when reading through that, there were often moments of deja vu. moments of 'hey didn't this happen in the book?'

i feel cheap talking about the cover.. but the blue bottoms and the beige worn out look.. reminds me of degas just a little bit.

anyways i should end this review. i haven't proofread it so sorry if it is nonsense. i'm only rambling and talking for the sake of talking so goodbye.
