So nostalgic! If you love the movie, I recommend also giving the book a shot.

This book was so good. Books are always "better than the movie" -- but I almost never see the movie first. In this case, the book had enough of the same to bring up excitement and nostalgia but so many differences to surprise me... and even totally shock me in the end!
I'm not even sure if I want to read the second one though, because it is clear that Crichton did not intend to write a sequel. This one ended so well.

I couldn't put the book down. Beautifully executed. Highly recommend. When reading don't think about the movie.

Aside from really hating the kids, I really enjoyed this book. I have never seen the movie, so this was my first experience with it. I loved every moment of this book. The writing was fast paced, I felt like I was in a thriller movie. The kids were typical annoying characters but I liked the other characters enough and the science infused. I was completely hooked the whole way through and absorbed during all the action scenes. The writing was fantastic. I’ve read some other books by Crichton and this is best books. I think Jurassic park is a great starting place for getting into scifi.
