An enjoyable James Patterson novel, focusing on different issues but still with the same core elements all of his books have. Tom Moon was a likeable character, passionate about his work and caring more about the victims of crime rather than FBI bureaucracy. Hanna Greete, a Dutch criminal running a human trafficking scheme, was a very well-written character. I loved the various layers from her obvious criminal mentality to the just as obvious love she holds for her family, daughter Josie and brother Albert. Overall, this novel does not rank as highly for me as others by Patterson, lacking the same level of excitement and unexpected turns I am used to, but ultimately it was still a decent novel that I enjoyed reading.
