This book was very interesting. I almost DNFed in the first quarter due to how slow building everything was. I’m glad I finished it though. There were so many unexpected twists, even up to the very last page.
A truly successful writer can use the tools of language to draw the reader into an emotion, a feeling. This author made me feel tense and battered. I wanted to read more slowly so that I didn't have to get to whatever was around the next chapter; it was just too ugly to imagine.
Should be some fun with discussion at book club.
Did not like Laura at all, Kit only a little. Mostly annoying people who I didn't care about much.

Not sure why this has gripped the reading charts as it has done.
I found this badly in need of editing - it was slow without suspense so just became tiresome.
The chapters trying to end on a cliffhanger were as interesting as a facebook updates fishing for attention (I can't believe he's done THAT again'... ''You OK Hun?'')
The characters weren't developed sufficiently to make me care, their actions are scarely explained and not at all credible.
If felt like a half-decent idea that was rushed instead of honed. From the bottle of wine that gets drunk in 5 sentences, to the end line which made me huff with a FFS, this is not a well crafted story.

A great book about a woman who witnessed a crime during an eclipse and everything that happens over the next 15 years as a result. Keeps you guessing and surprised.
This story was good. Finding out all the lies, hidden secrets and people getting murdered. Not too bad. The reason this is only getting 3 stars is because it was too long. It took over 200 pages for anything to really happen. Like, why? Lol
