informative slow-paced

I think this won't be more helpful for someone with little to no understanding of ADHD; I found most of the information to be familiar. It's also fairly general information; I was hoping for more specific things to try. However I understand that is hard in a book meant for the general population. And there are some specific actionable items I took away. It's definitely approachable reading, it does a lot to stress the fact that ADHD is primarily an executive function and emotional regulation disorder. It also makes a strong case for accomodations because your child can't learn to do these things like a typical kid, and a strong case for medication.

The introduction and conclusion are so good and so helpful. The 12 principles and practices are also helpful and practical. I like that the book doesn't need to be read linearly and can be used out of order.

I couldn't stand that every sentence ended in "your child with ADHD" Yes, we know the book is about raising children with ADHD. However, we don't need to be reminded of it every second throughout this book.

Also, even though I know it's not his fault, the narrators voice was just annoying.

I am still trying to figure out how this book made it past the editing process.

This book is very approachable and short. It’s a great way to learn about ADHD.

Very informative. Hope to use these principles more often. Needed a reminder that this type of parenting is hard and needs lots of connection and forgiveness
