Aw I just loved this trade so much. I'm a big Archie comics fan and just this alone had some of the best shorts I've read.
Like of my gosh that one where Ethel wrote to that actor guy asking him to be her prom date was one of the most precious things I've read.
So yeah, now I'm really bummed out that I don't own this but this is from a "best of series" I just realized so I am definitely gonna check out the rest because they'll probably be just as good.

As a child, Archie comics was super big in the grocery stores I got dragged to. And by really big, I mean there were just lots of copies high up on shelves that I couldn't reach and I always wanted one. I was a kid, what do you expect? I wanted what I couldn't have.
As an adult, when I saw a few collections at a local charity book shop, I totally caved. I wanted to read the comics that I was so obsessed with as a child. Especially with Riverdale being a big thing now, I was morbidly curious.
I did not enjoy this as much as I wanted to. In fact, I just couldn't be bothered. The comics are very cool and very nineties, but I just couldn't get into them. I really tried and I wanted to, but I couldn't pick up the story lines well. I did think the funny 90s takes on Ratman and Duggy Wuggy MD were amusing, but I just didn't find them amusing or interesting enough to keep me interested. I'm happy there was only about one hundred pages for me to read, because I just got bored.
It's just not for me. I don't see anything wrong with them other than they were clearly made in a different time. The comics themselves were beautiful to look at and interesting. The story lines were well written and amusing. The puns were excellent. Everything screamed awesome 90s comics.
These are definitely from a niche market now. Unfortunately, this niche market does not include me in it. Hopefully some more readers pick these up and can appreciate them more than me! They definitely deserve more readers.

This is fine I like Archie but the really old stuff wasn't nearly as good as the later stuff, in my opinion.
