I'm glad I read it so that I can cross it off my bucket list, but I don't know that I would recommend it. This version is an easy to understand one compared to some other translations I've tried.

This story dragged on and was a little boring and repetitive. If the author spent more time telling the story as it was happening and made everything more present time instead of having Odysseus retell his stories of his adventure over and over it would have been more captivating.
I want to see action. Not hear about it.
With that being said, for being written almost 2,700 years ago, it is a good story with an interesting plot.
