This was better than the last two for me. I really wondered how the author would redeem Asa. I suppose that redemption had started in the previous stories, but it was really interesting to hear his point of view. I was surprised he didn't fight his arrest because he felt like he should serve some time for things he did in the past. I give him a lot of credit for trying really hard to avoid Royal's advances. He really felt like she could do better. Once he gave in, things were really good for a while. I had an inkling of who Rosalyn was when she was introduced, but I didn't know how that would play out in the story. I would never have thought Asa was so deep as to give Royal up because of it. My heart broke a bit for them when that happened. And while I think having one big lie in a relationship might be a bad thing, in this case, it's probably necessary. Sounded like Royal probably had a good idea of what happened anyway. I can't believe her mom was so... I dunno... selfish? How could you watch your daughter fall apart and not fess up? And that sure was convenient with his dad dying and all that went with that, lol. Anyhoo... I don't know if this is the end of the series, because it seems like new potential characters are introduced in each book, but if there's another one, I look forward to it. Definitely a great, close-knit group of friends there in Denver.
Are you supposed to cry at the end of a book? Not because it was sad but because you know it's the end of something big. The end of a series with fictional characters that you never knew would become such a big part of your life? No, well shit, I'm doing this reading thing all wrong because I am a sobbing mess. If the intro to the book doesn't get you, then expect all the feels to come when you finally get to see Asa get his HEA. And then if all of that wasn't enough, read on as Jay's acknowledgements pull at your heartstrings.
I've been waiting for Asa's story for a long time and couldn't wait to see how it all played out for him. The attraction between Asa and Royal has been strong from the very beginning, but he does everything in his power to not cross that line with her. Royal was not having it and she went after him with everything she had! I absolutely loved her for it!
Once you see how much Asa loathes himself and how he truly believes that he doesn't deserve to be happy because of the things he's done, you're heart will break. Then watching Royal punish herself for an incident that she believes is her fault only adds to the need to see them open up and heal each other.
When the sexual tension finally breaks and neither one of them can stop the passion between them, it's epic. Seeing the transition in Asa was profound and truly made me smile, proving once and for all that not all people who do bad things are bad people at heart. Seeing Asa come full circle was the perfect way to end this series.
This book is the culmination of two years and 6 stories that I'll never forget. I've fallen in love with each Marked Men one by one and in their own right and I'm incredibly sad to know it's over.

I loved Asa and Royal and I am sad this series is over. I am looking forward to her next series though and I am loving The Point series she does as well.
Asa was a whole lot better man than he knew and Royal was just an all around good person. I feel like Royal's mother should have told her the truth though. It would have showed that while she had made a lot of mistakes, she was changing for the better. I don't understand as a mother, how you can not help your child with her broken heart. Her mother had the power to make things better and get her back with Asa (who didn't do anything wrong and suffered just as much) but she chose to be selfish. I understand first hand, that a lot of parents are in fact that selfish, but I had hoped for more from her.
Other than that, I absolutely adored this book. I loved all the couples, especially Cora and Rome and seeing some of Rule. I really loved seeing Ayden and Asa fix their relationship as well and come full circle from their crappy childhood.
I just adore Jay Crownover and her writing. Her books are must buys for me. I don't even have to read the back cover. If she writes it, I will read it. Thank you for giving the Marked Men a wonderful ending.

This one was OK. I liked Asa and Royal but seriously.. the "issue" was the lamest one yet. I mean, NOTHING even happened and he still left her. I don't like how the author gave a "quick" update on the rest of the gang, like, I NEED more then just that rushed thing, -_______-
Perfect ending for this series. The reason it took me so long to read this book was that I didn't want to say goodbye to the Marked Men, but with a new series coming along and maybe some more hints about this amazing men, I think it was finally time to say it.
So here it is, after many months of living in denial i had to face it... Marked Men series is officially over. I wanted to finish the year on a high note so I finally finished Asa's story and it was more than I could have hoped for. It was simply amazing.
