I’m quickly falling in love with Max Monroe’s characters. They make me laugh. They make me cry. They drag me through all sorts of emotions.

Perfect in every way

Holy fluffing he'll I LOVED it. These two are absolutely perfect. I couldn't wait for them to realize their flings. Shoot I was falling for for both of them! Absolutely perfect!!

I really enjoyed this one, and always seem to read these as soon as I get my hands on them. This was no different.

Luke and Ava meet in college when she runs into him (literally) while running into his room across the hall in a full panic and nearly burning down her dorm room. Fast forward to their current situation, they're still BFFs, they're still living across the hall from each other, but this time in a much nicer high rise apartment. She's an artist and curator, but isn't currently producing any art herself. He's a pilot, and has been trying to get into the NASA Astronaut program.

They finally get together and realize their feelings for each other (what others around them have always known) when he pretends to be her boyfriend at her high school reunion. As usual, secrets come out, a brief break-up occurs, and they find their way to their HEA. This is a really sloooooow burn, but worth the wait.

This one had the added benefit of all the billionaires - Thatch, Kline, Wes, Cap, the entire gang. A few moments of the women as well. It was fun to revisit the original "billionaires" and have them connected to this story.

Another hilarious hit for Max Monroe. Luke and Ava were hilariously and adorably sweet. Friends to lovers is one of my favorite book tropes. It’s always fun when they both realize “hey, I’m actually really in love with this person”. Best Friends Don’t Kiss was no different. They’ve been friends for fifteen years. A constant in one another’s lives. The first person they each call when something good or bad happens. Everyone but the two of them could see how they felt about one another.
Ava, being the people pleaser she is, finds herself in a pickle when she agrees to help plan her high school reunion. It wouldn’t have been so bad if she hadn’t lied about being in a relationship. Not wanting to face the embarrassment of the lie and suffering through not only the reunion but also her baby sister’s wedding and the holidays alone, she’s gotta find a boyfriend and quick. She learns pretty quickly that online dating is a poor life choice and convinces her BFF Luke to play the role of boyfriend. It’s all good and well until they are both forced to face feelings they had both been ignoring for far too long. Their road to HEA gets a bit rocky but everything works out the way it should by the end.
And I can’t talk about this book without mentioning the hilarious and wonderful cameos from our favorite billionaires and their spouses. Somehow Thatch manages to find his way into any book he wants. He’s like the Where’s Waldo of Max Monroe characters. I love it. Looking forward to whatever hilarity and shenanigans Max Monroe has in store for us next.

4.5 stars! Oh, Max Monroe. How I love you both. It's like you just know how to write a H that I'm absolutely going to add to my collection of Book Boyfriends - Luke was definitely added to that list!

For a Max Monroe book, this was kind of a slow burn - for them. LOL. I didn't love how Luke held off telling Ava his news (he made the NASA Astronaut Corps, for crissakes, I would have called Ava IMMEDIATELY - NOT a spoiler), but it resolved quite nicely - and with the help of our favorite billionaires! (Note: Thatcher Kelly is a fluffing treasure and must be treated as such. I've missed him so. #idthatchthat) Add in a crazy Christmas with Ava's dad who has an insane love for the holiday (I relate), a high school reunion, and a sister's wedding, along with Friendsgiving with the billionaire clan and this is a winner!

Listened on audible plus. It was truly boring, practically zero spice and the "quirky" fmc was actually really annoying and kept repeating about some random twinge in her chest. At 32 yo she can't be this oblivious

This was cute and funny. The banter was witty and often sarcastic. A classic best friends to lovers plot line. Loved Luke, Ava was a bit annoying at times and there was a bit of repetition but overall I enjoyed it.
