I'd rank this as the second best book on the trilogy. I just really loved Deviate, it was such a big step up.
Truelife followed on that grander scope and picked up all the threads that had been set up and weaved into a great end of series. There were some awesome moments, but nothing that was really unexpected.
Overall though, a fun trilogy and an enjoyable read.

Absolutely loved the ending to this trilogy.
So much action, moral questions, and destruction to satisfy my sci fi lust! Lemon Fresh is still one of my all time favorite characters to read. I enjoyed questioning Eve's moral compass and loyalty for 2 whole books. I felt distraught reading through her POV for the entire book.. Honestly, it made me dislike her character the most.

I knew this ending would hurt, and Mr. Kristoff delivered!
Thanks for the ARC as always,
This was a great ending, but it left me a little confused because In the end this book seems more forgiving than others, especially from Jay.
The ending felt incomplete in regards to Evie, she spent so long absorbed in hate it’s weird for her to wake up like she did. I honestly expected her to give her life to the cause instead of surviving because it seemed to be only way for her earn forgiveness for all her atrocious actions. I understand being lost, but man in the end she was more villain than hero of this story.
Lemon and Zeke were more prominent in this than Evie was. And while I wasn’t a fan of Lemon too much because I loved Evie more, I did enjoy Lemon in this storyline and I really felt for her.
I loved this for being Jays first finished YA series, he still broke hearts and took names.

i will forever stand by the fact that this series is underrated as hell.
i started the Lifel1k3 series literally by accident. i picked up the first book simply because i didnt have a single clue what it was about. and i am so glad i did.
the feelings the i hold for each of these characters are almost incomparable to any others. they all hold such a deep place in my heart, and i adore them.
this book doesnt make you want to put it down. you constantly want to read to see where things are gonna go, what twists are gonna pop up. i had such a fun time reading this book, and im so glad it's the book that got me back into reading.

As most of you know I love Jay Kristoff and this series has been my 2nd favourite of his, but as much as I loved this book it wasn't what I wanted it to be. Yes the best character Lemon Fresh ARC was amazing from Side kick to Hero, but I was more interested in her story then I was Eve. Lemons story felt slightly rushed in area, and details were lost. Plus the ending was too neat and tidy which I didn't thing this book would have as I honestly thought it would have a darker ending then happily ever after.
But it's still a good book just wanted it to be darker I guess

4.5 stars.
Huge thank you to Knopf Books for Young Readers and Netgalley for providing me with this eARC in exchange for my honest review!
Jay Kristoff has done it again. I seriously don’t know how he does it, but Kristoff consistently puts out absolute bangers. He is one of my favorite authors. One of the things that I like best about Kristoff’s books is that he includes a quick recap of the previous books in the beginning. This is so helpful when it’s been a long time since reading the previous books. He did this again with TRUEL1F3 and I loved it!
TRUEL1F3 picks up immediately after the events of DEV1AT3. The action starts immediately and does not let up. The entire book is non-stop! And I mean literally NON! STOP! Our rag tag group of characters are constantly getting themselves into all sorts of dangerous situations. TRUEL1F3 is a super exciting, fast-paced read that is jam packed full of fun.
I was so happy to be back with this incredible cast of characters . . . Cricket, the freaks, and my girl LEMON FRESH! Spank my spankables! Lemon is one of my favorite characters ever and she was once again she is totally *brilliful*! Lemon is fierce, sassy, independent, and so much fun. Her point of view chapters are always my favorite. I’m keeping this review spoiler free, but Lemon goes through a horrible trauma in TRUEL1F3. Kristoff did a great job of showing Lemon dealing with the physical and emotional tolls of this. It made Lemon Fresh even more fierce and powerful!
Besides Lemon Fresh, my favorite part of this series is the freaks . . . Diesel and Grimm. The team of freaks grows in TRUEL1F3 and I couldn’t be happier! I would definitely want to be a part of the team.
Of course I have to mention that it’s a Kristoff book . . . so that means I was an emotional wreck multiple times.
One character that I did not like at all . . . Eve. She has been the worst since the second book. I understand she is dealing with an identity crisis and incredible emotional stress, but Eve’s decisions and actions are horrible. One of the overarching themes of TRUEL1F3 is that your actions are what defines the type of person you are. So basically Eve is awful. The ONLY reason I deducted 1/2 star from my review is Eve’s arc/ending. It was too easy and seemed way off base for her story. To keep this spoiler free, I will include what I think would have been a more appropriate ending at the end of my review.
The LIFEL1K3 trilogy is an exciting, fast-paced, and action-packed series. Jay Kristoff creates the most thrilling worlds and captivating characters. TRUEL1F3 is no exception. I flew threw this book and I could not get enough of this incredible story.
TRUEL1F3 will be released June 30th by Knopf Books for Young Readers!

I think that Eve suddenly switching to the good side was totally off base and inconsistent with literally every single decision she’s made. I think it would have been more appropriate for Eve to sacrifice herself in order to save Lemon and Ezekiel. The fact that she just becomes good, kills the enemy, and then it’s all sunshine and roses for her just doesn’t seem right to me. This was my only issue with this book and series.

This was a 4 star series for me. I enjoyed each book, though this one slightly less than the first 2.
