This book blew me away! It is incredibly well written. I had debated for a while on if I should read this book or not. So many MC books these days. I just wasn't sure. But I am so glad I did. The story is amazing! It is by far in the top five if not three MC books of all time. Ginny/Kits and Grizz's story is full of twists and turns and takes you on an unforgettable journey. It's dark and gritty and I loved it. This book was so unpredictable. I was sucked in as soon as I started reading and knew this would be one I wouldn't be able to put down until I was finished with the book. Definitely recommend and can not wait to read more from this author.

Holy cow ... I don't even know where to start with this review. This book was so heart wrenching and sad but also amazing. I want to un-read it so I can read it all over again. I couldn't put it down until I knew how it ended. Just wow!!!
Re-read (7-19-2016) ... This book is one of those books that you can read a 100 times and never get tired of reading it. I will never get enough of Grizz and Grunt ... EVER!!!

Not bad. Not bad at all. Nope. There may have been some things in the story that I couldn’t help but feel odd about but all in all I was absorbed.
The prologue was really good. It got me hooked. Your writing for a first novel was good Beth! It wasn't astonishing to me but it was good. I didn't feel like there was a certain style and since it was such a quick read maybe that's what is for the best with this book. Kudos for Beth though. The prologue was killer and sucked me in (how every prologue should be like that in my opinion). However, most of the time I rolled my eyes at Ginny.
I GET that she was emotionally neglected as a child. I get it, I do. But WHY was she so quick to accept her fate? WHY didn't she try to escape from that motel? I understand that she might have felt "numb" to her position but she seemed to be way too comfortable with the gang and joining them. Where was her fear? 15 years old, come on. Be scared. Struggle. Cry. Give me something.
Also, important events felt (to me) like they were randomly just thrown all over the storyline. Characters motives seemed to me altered at times. Like, "this is happening now but THIS will happen in the future). DONT tell me an answer or the future in the middle of a book! I think this was intended to create a big shocking (GASP!) feel and although it caused me to do a double take 99% of the time, in the end I found myself questioning if Beth just sat down and wrote this book straight through. this book from start to finish as thoughts. No stopping. No gathering.
A lot happens in this story, some of it is very dark and there are some stellar twists and turns. The ending was alright. While I predicted part of it, there were still surprises. There are still questions. I liked that. I hate that I can't give you spoilers because my favorite parts and twists would ruin the story for you. I thought the twists were nicely planned. A huge touché moment.
Very nice job, debut novel. NICE!

DNF 46%. Didn’t enjoy the direction this was going, though the writing is superb. I read some spoilers of some of the next installments and am just not ready to emotionally commit to this series.
An MC romance with one hell of a twist! Ginny is taken from her normal yet solitary life in South Florida to live with Grizz and his motorcycle gang in the 1970's. She's unsure of her place in his world but what she does know is that she loves him. After much time and more crimes, their world falls apart and Grizz only has nine minutes to say what he needs to Ginny before it's all over.
3.5 stars. I don't know how to rate this book nor what to say. I am not sure I even liked it but I'm so engrossed that I finished the audiobook in 2 days. Then I quickly got book 2. It's not the writing, it's not the characters..maybe it is both. I didn't dislike Ginny because she was just trying to exist. I just don't find that Stockholm syndrome to really be "love" as there isn't consent and there is an amount of brainwashing. This book was the journey of a kidnap victim turned wife of the leader of a motorcycle gang. All these things happening before age 16. The book begins with the trial of her husband kidnapper, the unapologetic and ruthless Grizz.
There was a lot of deceit in this truly complex story. There was statutory rape and generally stalking. But there was a make shift family and loyalty...as much as you can have in a criminal enterprise. So I was intrigued, curious and engrossed with the train wreck effect. I want to find out who Grunt really is because the ending made the nice guy appear to be much more sinister and cunning than I gave him credit to. This triangle with Grizz, Ginny and Grunt wasn't as clean as I thought.
The fact that I wanted to read book two immediately means that I must like it a little bit, right?

.....I don't know how I feel about this one. I think the end was spectacular and it did keep me on edge, but this book frustrated me too. Ginny was strong and brave, but she was also whinny and a little annoying too. I don't know if I really cared for Grizz at all, there was no real debt to his character, but I was really intrigued by Moe and Grunt...the ending about him whoa, but am I surprised, maybe. I don't know if I am interested in reading the next book. Still so many questions unanswered, but how much could one really write in a new book... I just don't know, so many emotions about this one... 4-4.5 stars
okay so maybe I got stockholm syndrome to from reading this, I just loved Grizz, also hated him for the things he did , but with kit he was so sweet and lovely.I knew from reading the blurb that it wasn't going to be a happy ending, and when I came on page one I already dreaded the emotional rollercoaster. That said I always had a feeling about grunt, Not the 'big reveal' at the end of the book that grizz gave but I never really actually liked him. And now I actually hate him, and if I am correct he is the one that gave up grizz so he could get kit. I will be reading the next book, And hope we get to see a grown up kit and mimi and jason, seriously grunt can burn in my eyes.
