I gave the last volume 5 stars although I don't remember why. Early on I really loved this series. It was strange, violent, funny, and action-packed. Then it began to wear on me. In the beginning the action scenes were clear, later in the series they became muddy and confusing. I didn't feel I was reading something fresh and inventive. Instead, as the series wore on I felt I was reading something just trying to stay afloat until the end. And thank goodness for the end. The inevitable end. *Snooze*

All the nostalgia hit me again... I really felt like I went on this journey with everyone and I feel really sentimental :) Alexa, play "Last Train Home" (so I can cry to it)
Memes in this volume:

RIP to that hat. Also this pic is just a whole ass MOOD.

Remove the top line and imagine that out of context

He died saying "Kono Dio da" so he died making a Jojo reference. Amazing.

This was such a sweet ending scene. He really cherished the time he spent with everyone :)
AND ON TO PART 4 WE GO
Bonus meme: of course I had to include this one

The final volume brings an excellent end to Stardust Crusaders, with a thrilling fight between Dio and Jotaro. The lead-up is incredible; Polnareff's encounter with Dio on the stairway, and Kakyoin's confrontation with Dio where he learns the true power of The World. Both build the aura of ominous expectation that befits Dio and his mysterious stand. Kakyoin's death is masterfully written, one of the saddest death scenes I've seen in media. The final battle is high intensity, with the twists and turns that are a JoJo trademark, though there were a few asspulls that allowed Jotaro to win. The volume ends with a tribute to Jotaro's fallen allies, and Jotaro and Joseph saying goodbye to Polnareff in an airport scene that tugs my heartstrings no matter how many times I read it.
