I like the concept of this collection and the change of style.
I liked most of the stories, but the one with Prez is probably my favorite standalone in the whole series.

Much shorter than some of these cycles, and in some ways extra cohesive - this is a series of stories about storytelling. The stories are nested here, like Russian dolls, one inside another inside another, which gives a rare opportunity for different artists to show off their styles on confined single-instance stories blended with Gaiman's fascinating and diverse narrative style. Some of them were more interesting than others, to me, which is the nature of anthologies, and the hit-or-miss collection style made this particular collection not my absolute favorite - but it also included some amazing, not-to-be-missed segments and panels. This one was light on the Endless, which was fine coming on the heels of the previous installments.

I adore how Gaiman can take a classic archetype/setting of literature—the stopover of travelers at an inn, telling stories—and turns it on its head. They range from moralistic to surrealistic; they take place in worlds both futuristic and of the distant past, sometimes even presenting stores within stories. And references abound, for the most intrepid of readers. Truly a pleasure to read. I am left with foreboding and longing for the next volume.

THE ENDING HAS ME NERVOUS

"Fables & Reflections" walked so this one could run.

To listen to my review go to V for Vertigo, Episode 70: 10 Year Reunion at http://vforvertigo.blogspot.com or on iTunes

Things start to get interesting. And a lot more connected. At least, at the end here.

Lots of stories within stories within... you get the idea. The end hints at biiig things to come, also noticeable because #9 is a lot weightier than the previous ones.
