Fantastic,  as usual

I mean, the volume's mostly 4 stars, except for the Prez story, which is definitely a 5. I still kind of have problems with this volume, as it feels like a bit of a momentum-killer (everything's set up for a climax at the end of Brief Lives, and then...more short stories). However, I kinda like the Chaucer-style construction of everything, and there are interesting and engaging characters created here. It just doesn't quite live up to the lofty heights of the past few volumes.

Istg if the storm was because of Orpheus this whole time, I—

The stories themselves were hit and miss personally, though that last issue definitely brought the thought-provoking aspect of Sandman back in full force. I mean, those panels of Death under the blood-red moon alone…

I really enjoyed this one even though at first sight it seems to have nothing to do with the the "main story". It's basically all about people having a beer and telling impossible tales and at the end there's an amazing scene that ties this book with the rest.

This one is probably my favorite so far. :-) I loved reading all the different stories and thinking about what happens when different realities collide.
