can I just say I love love love this book. Pax, I had to grow into but Elijah was adorable. The author did a great job proving how much you wanted to both shield him and corrupt him because sometimes I thought he was so adorable I wanted to hug him and tell him I would keep him safe and other times I wanted to corrupt his innocence. He totally made the book for me. I loved his awkward nerdiness. And Pax was cool, he wasn't perfect in the past but I like that he wanted to be better for E. All in all a sweet, and steamy, romance

Adorkably fun, fairly low angst read. While 8 years might be a little close to be considered May/December, the fact that Elijah is still in college (PhD as a - you guessed it! - Rocket Scientist) and a virgin while Pax is experienced and established gives this book all those May/December feels.

This was an easy read with a lot of fun in and out of the bedroom (or wall, or car, or

Very cute. I loved Elijah. The first half was a bit of a rough go, as I wanted to punch Pax in the face. “I’ll only hurt him by being in a relationship with him so I’ll just mess with his emotions instead” is not sound logic for a fully grown adult acting like he has no control over his decisions. He did get his act together as the book went on, for which I was grateful, but overall this wasn’t especially memorable. Solid 3.

I think I only finished this because it was the book I kept picking up when I was between other reads and couldn't make a decision? Also, I spent the whole time thinking I must have read it before, because I recognized so much of it even though I didn't have it shelved. No idea what must have happened before, but I assume Past Me just forgot it existed and Present Me was trying to figure out what happened. This wasn't even a real hate read by the end.

But things I didn't like:
  1. I never actually believed in the connection between these characters
  2. I'm apparently very picky when it comes to "nerdy" characters, because I am so sick of the naïve/innocent ones being written like fucking idiots
  3. I'm probably going to pick up the rest of the series to read some of the side characters

Sweet, hot and oh so fun

Five stars for a book by a new-to-me author. Reading about Pax and Elijah was a wonderful escape and a great way to spend an afternoon. The angst of a first time lover for Elijah, the vulnerability of Pax who thinks he isn't good enough. Just...sigh... It all came together in one hell of a ride. Now, if she would only write a book about Bishop and Hudson, my fantasy land where these guys live would be complete!

So adorable!

Omg I absolutely loved Rocket Science! Elijah and Pax were both adorable in their own ways and I had so much fun reading their story. The ending was super satisfying and I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book.

This book was exactly what the doctor ordered. I haven't read a book over 300 pages since May but this fluffy, sexy book was precisely what I needed.

1 out of 10.

I feel like I could cut off 75% percent of this book and I'd still have the same reading experience. Like, I get it, you guys are just fuck buddies and you're not supposed to fall in love; can we have a character and relationship development now? Or hell, can we get back to the plot?
