I couldn't decide if this should be 3 or 4 stars, so we're rounding up.

This was a cute, albeit heartbreaking romance. Everyone and their mother should be acquainted with this book since the movie was such a hit and it was flying off the shelves, so I won't go deep into yet another synopsis.

What was good:

The relationships! The love hate relationship of sisters was brought to life in this book between Lou and Treena (and now I'm grateful I don't have sisters). The situationship between Patrick and Lou was also very well done. I could tell they were only together for convenience, and it was shown in their actions. Even the discourse between Mrs. Traynor and Lou was well done. I was quite impressed.

What was bad:

I don't know if it was bad, but it definitely showed. A lot of the characters had the personalities of gramcrackers. Each one had a defining personality trait and that's what it was, end of story. Will was a tad more dynamic, but not by a ton. I would have appreciated more of a deep dive into the characters.

At the end of the day, it was a pleasant read and I will recommend it to a friend who needs a recommendation

This book cannot be rated . It just CAN'T . When I first started it I was hooked , head over heels in love with it . I knew that it'd be a book about hope and living . But then I started to realize the message this book sends , and I just couldn't agree . I cannot agree . I'm in love - hate terms with this book .It's probably one of the most realistic reads , but still ... . This is not a fluffy read , it's a realistic, heart crunching read . I mostly enjoyed reading it but because of the message I would not recommend this book . * I just finished reading the book my feelings are all around the place *

I didn't expect to love this story as much as I did. Such a quick read that by the time I finished it, I wanted to go back and watch the story unfold from the beginning again. Loved the characters and the strong emotions that tied everything together. Very real and engaging. I shed tears up to the last page.

This was a good book. I didn't cry at the end, but I did sit back after finishing it and just letting out a long breath.

This book is very thought evoking, and deals with issues that so many deal with today. I had mixed feelings about some things that happened in this book, but I cannot fault Moyes for writing it the ways she did. The situation was completely valid in my view and I could see why the ending was handled the way it was. It's so much more than a romance novel (in my view it's barely a romance novel, it shouldn't even have the tag romance come first. It deals with life and relationships and how that molds into who we are and why we choose to do things.

I laughed. I cried. Most of all though it made me think. It changed my perspective on a few things, and made me grateful for things I take for granted. There is some language in the book. I couldn't put this book down. It definitely changed my perspective.
