Amazing and beautifully written! I felt like in the third quarter the story was getting a little muddled and confused, but it was really tied together by bringing back the kind of thesis of the Sex and the City problem. The characters were really compelling and the split between Amy and Reese's past relationship and their current dynamics felt really well-balanced, where both were so compelling that I didn't find myself preferring one to the other.

I devoured this in a day. It's not just as good as you've heard, it's better.

Brilliant, sensitive, funny, full of character, and able to divine the complex relationships between sex, sexuality, womanhood, trans identity, parenthood, and change.

its rare that whilst reading a book, my enjoyment level and my engagement with the material stays consistent throughout.

this is a novel that is complicated, flawed, not straightforward, and really makes you think. its clear that the characters truly make the story. overall, a book that will remain in my conciousness for time to come.
