Quite the end to an amazing trilogy. Nothing quite like it has ever shook me to my core quite like this book. Every emotion possible runs throughout. Sadness, anger, dissapointment, shock, amazement, satisfaction, relief, happiness, and every other emotion you can think of. This book ended exactly where I'd hope it would end with lans son taking his rightful place.

I don't know how Fonda Lee did it, but Hilo really grew on me as a character. In the end, it was him who made me cry. 

This was such a great series—so well done, especially over the span of time this book covers. 

I am sad it is over but also glad that I finished it.
