I feel liked this book because I also read it around Christmas and I was reflecting what, I, would also do if we're at the world's end. It's a different take on the end of world Armageddon, and shedding that the world circumstance has impose on us to return to being just a human being to us and each other. And that was a nice reminder to have ❤️

Normally I don't like books with multiple POVs, but I think the author did a great job with them. The story kept me wanting more. The characters were likeable and relatable. It was a fun, entertaining, sad, heartwarming and heart wrenching story and I loved every bit of it.

I couldn’t tell for most of the book whether I liked it or not. I feel like the writing was trying really hard to be profound and kept having a simile or metaphor to explain EVERYTHING. “This is like this. And let me carry this metaphor out for the rest of the paragraph. And then the next paragraph is a different metaphor about the same thing. A lot of interesting takes about how people would react to news that the world is ending, but I wish that was explored more. I was intrigued by the plot description, but the description was the only real plot there was. It was very much slice of life, which is just not personally my taste. Overall, it just felt bland and forgettable and kind of depressing? It seemed like the book was trying very hard to be positive or uplifting, and it kind of was. But it made me think about how I would react in the face of this news, and reading it at Christmastime with a bunch of downtime just wasn’t the right move.
