Once again, I'm so sad this is the end of such an incredibly powerful story written and illustrated so beautifully. Kudos again to the author and illustrator! (If someone wants to make a TV series of this story, I would be elated!) Bitty's story is relatable on so many levels, and, having gone through college myself, can attest that you really do grow in the brief time you're there. Jack and Bitty are so wholesome, it just makes me happy to see this volume really build on the relationship teased in the first volume. Everyone, and I mean, EVERYONE has character growth and their own moment to shine in the main or subplot, which many slice of life stories fail to get right. I'm here to say, this by far an away is among the greatest little graphic novel series ever, and I highly recommend anyone even with a fraction of interest in this story pick it up! Besides, there's plenty of humor in here to keep you engaged even if you roll your eyes at Bitty baking another pie. Lol

This was a lovely second edition to the first comic, really enjoyed the background character development and the supportive and open communication between team mates, this comic feels like a warm hug - found family trope.

I really wanted to like this because I love lighthearted queer graphic novels. But it was just so disorganized. I couldn’t follow who was who, I couldn’t follow the story, and it was corny past the point of being sweet.

Maybe it was formatted differently as a webcomic, but just like the first collection, it would’ve been so much better if the tweets at the back had been incorporated throughout. They gave humanity to each character and more of a backstory to each relationship, especially Jack and Bitty, whose relationship felt rushed and very surface level. I ended up flipping back and forth to read the tweets along with the main story, and that’s the only reason I was able to follow through.

A lot of hockey talk, so if you’re indifferent to/know nothing about the sport, don’t expect to keep up.

Nice to see loving, supportive families when people come out, and found family is always important.

This is the sequel (and final book) in this series and I think it did a good job in wrapping up our time with these characters. I again felt the book shied away from some tough topics but it did a slightly better job at tackling some in this book so I’ll give it props for that. Bittie’s character in particular still felt really childish in this book but at least the other characters balanced out the syrupy sweetness a bit (though not that much).

I absolutely loved the series. I teared up, rooted for the team, laughed and just had a great time. The event that happens at the end feels a bit rushed,  but I'm just still in love with the art style and sweetness of this comic. Ugh so sad it's over!
