This is just really not my genre, I think. As a self-identified nosy person I found the narrator very frustrating since it felt like she was always rejecting new information. Her obliviousness was necessary for the plot but at what cost to the reader and common sense.

A fun and light read, and a little predictable (I wish the cover blurb didn’t announce a plot twist). I picked it up because of the comparison to Eleanor Oliphant, and there are some similarities. At the same time, I lost the tenderness I remember feeling toward EO relatively early in this book.

Sadly predictable in every way.

saw the twist coming from a mile away but that didn’t make it any less satisfying to watch it play out. a very enjoyable read.

Even if I guessed the ending almost immediately, I still very much enjoyed the book. All the product names were a definite highlight for me.

A dark and delightful take on startup culture, white bros, gaslighting, and other topics I love to hate.
