my favourite thing about this book would probably be ava. she's a well written character and a good protagonist. i also like how the author handled her identity as a queer woman. her job is very fun and i'm a fan of her personality. for me, she's very easy to understand, i really do get her. matt was annoying, and later on it turned out that my dislike for him was justified. i think the thriller part of the plot was well done, though i didn't really like the ending? it felt a bit rushed and strange, i suppose. i just didn't expect it (in a bad way). otherwise, this was fun and i enjoyed it.

When I read the words “A Very Nice Box”, it reminds me of a beautiful and proportionate box, with a light brown colour. What about you?
I think the “Nice Box” is a character in this book, it has an important part in the story and it’s more or less the life of Ava Simon. In the beginning, she is seeing the life around her like a draft, without fully connecting with the people around her. As the story progresses and the box is getting created her perspective of life and people around her change till it becomes real and she is ready to interact with it. A beautiful journey that will be impossible to forget, Ava is a precious woman that deserves all the good in the world.
I was really interested with this book, it’s not a mystery story but it has a little bit of intrigue, it is not a romance book but it has love; it’s not an easy book to describe but a very interesting read.
I think Ava is the small part we all have that don’t want to change or forget, that wants to be alone sometimes and not to have to be boxed; special, intelligent but don’t like the spotlight. But don’t think that she is cold or heartless, she has a past, like all that changed her, but now, like the “Nice Box”, it’s time to get real and maybe see life in a different perspective.

The synopsis of this novel was promising but the novel itself was rather frustrating to read. It was like the plot points were simmering at low heat, not really managing to create the proper heat that they were capable of. While I enjoyed reading about a workplace like STÄDA, I found that some parts of the plot that revolved around colleagues working there were not as believable as they could have been. And I wonder if maybe the authors would have benefited from choosing a first person's narrator for this novel rather than a third person's narrator. Of course I do not know that this would have been more successful but at times I felt that I would have enjoyed the novel more if I, as a reader, was shown more of what was happening rather than being told about it.

I fucking loved this book.
