I think if I had read this in middle school or high school I would’ve loved it. The MC though 18 comes off very juvenile.

I’m really sick of books where they make decisions about who women are supposed to marry and then after a short while the women are just magically okay with it. It’s messed up. Also, they killed off the best character (and the only character of color) in like the first hour. Messed up.
