I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

For those already acquainted with the Enneagram, this books seeks to move beyond diagnosis and into healing. I liked that it sought to aid people to embrace the strengths of their type and move toward growth. However, it felt redundant a lot of the time so I was a little bored and it took me longer to finish than it should have.

[I received a free electronic review copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.]

4.5 stars = I loved it! Would re-read.

This is a great second tier Enneagram resource, perfectly paired with an introduction through The Road Back to You. I loved the emphasis here on story - the broken, limiting stories we have told ourselves for years as well as the path to new stories for health and growth. This is a great example of how podcasts and books can weave together - the author uses podcast guests and stories as part of the foundation of the book but cites the episodes so readers can check those out if they haven't already heard them. Brilliant!

This is the sort of engaging resource where you don't just skip ahead to your own number, but you read each one because the stories are so good and the writing is so conversational and fun. Highly recommend.

This is a fantastic addition to the enneagram library! Cron focuses this book on past wounds that make us the enneagram number that we are and how to acknowledge those stories and rewrite them to become a better version of ourselves. I really enjoyed this book. In the chapter for my number, I could see myself everywhere in the text (as usual with enneagram), but this time Cron gave me a new way to look at that information and realize how I let it hold me back. Definitely recommend.

Powerful message for one who already knows their type and wants to get out of being stuck in it. SOAR is a great tool that could have profound effect if harnessed. I wish this had subtypes.

This book was not what I expected,  it I really enjoyed the content and looking at each story or scenario presented from the perspective of the #’s in my life. I particularly felt like my enneagram number and the review of its idiosyncrasies helped tremendously in navigating the challenges placed before me.
