The Other Ones was a cosy and cute autumnal read!

This book was a tad unexpected, I thought I was reading a lighthearted but spooky Halloween read; especially, with how many pumpkins feature on the cover and the chapter starts. However, Halloween hadn't featured much, nor did the spooky vibes!

Nonetheless, I enjoyed this book very much, it would have been five stars if the author had given more background and details about Pax, Elsie and Dirk. Hopefully, there will be a sequel, please.

A great book but i think marketed a bit misleading. More of a cozy contemporary book than mystery type book.

"ghosts are made up of memories, and amplified by darkness. for some people, the idea can become not something to be scared of but something to cling on to."
GOD i loved this story. i read this entire book in an accent in my head because WOW i love British accents. i was smiling so big at all the little British-isms and words/phrases.

I LOVED THESE KIDS SO MUCH. they were all so strong and scared and excluded and found so much solace in each other. Sal and Pax and Dirk and Elsie were such a Good group and were so good to each other. and Sal and Asha were trying so hard to be there for each other and pretend like nothing was going on and i just wanted to squeeze them so tight!!! Sal and Pax were so sweet together, MAJOR GRUMPY/SUNSHINE TROPE ENERGY, and it had me giggling and kicking my feet. they balanced each other so perfectly and brought out the best in each other.

IT WAS PERFECT. SUCH A GOOD SPOOKY SZN READ. 👻

Une romance très mimi sur fond de spectre et de drames familiaux.
