oh danm ( might change 5) at first i thought the writing was sooo pretentious but it wore off the story got a little damp since it was outlined early on what was going to happen the main focus is descriptive landscape and girlhood omg✨✨✨ being real tho evie’s inter turmoil was very well written :)

right also call me crazy but i wanna look at a wee comparison w bunny since both r #girlsincults literature :)

This author is an amazing writer, but sometimes it felt like she was trying to hard. The story itself is devastating mostly in that it's a harsh reminder of what it was like to be a teenage girl. Ugh.

Honestly, I just couldn't get through this and stopped at around 35% in. I didn't like the prose or the language. I didn't like any character. It was also just sad. I hated how I felt while reading it.

Very well written. I enjoyed the writing a lot and appreciated that it was a fictional story (based on a real one) so it felt a little less gross for enjoying true crime. I wish there had been more introspection from the narrator about how her role in things was warped by toxic and abusive men. I feel like it really glossed over the fact that she was raped as a 14 year old.

Could not get into it and it was too graphic for my taste.
