I thought this book was incredibly boring except for the twist at the end. I read the first few pages of book 2 and decided to call it a quits on this series. I don’t want to read 3 more books to get to the end of whatever boring storyline and probably filler books in between!

I think I enjoyed it more than other reviewers, but many characters fell flat to me...AND, I feel like that was on purpose because they want to lure you into buying the next book.

I'm not sure yet if I'm committed enough to finish the series, which is not how I usually operate... but I'm just not wowed & want something else.

Really enjoyed the world building & the conflict, but the characters aren't for me.
